<title><![CDATA[Last Home Game Ends In Tie]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[The Jackets hosted the North East Grape Pickers on Monday evening.  The Pickers were the first to score.  But, with less than 3 minutes remaining in the game, Ryan Barlow, assisted by Marcus Conners, scored forcing the game to go into overtime.  Neither team scored in overtime play and the game ended tied at one goal a piece.  The last game of the season will be played at Veterans Stadium Wednesday evening at 4:30 p.m.  ]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[The Yellow Jackets played on the road Thursday, October 20, traveling to Saegertown to take on the Panthers.  A loss of 2 to 0 brings the teams record to 7 wins and 9 losses.  Next game is scheduled for Monday, October 24 at home.  ]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[Seniors Honored and Team Shares Big Win]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Senior members of the Yellow Jackets were honored prior to the game on Saturday, October 15.  Those recognized, along with their parents, were Zach Addis, Garrett Brown, Matt Buckman, Ian Crock, James Geraci, John Martini, Kris MacIssac, Adam Olesnanik and Brenden Parsons.  Following recognition of the seniors, the Yellow Jackets took on the Seneca Bobcats and won 12-0.  Marcus Conners had 2 goals as did John Martini, Ryan Barlow, James Geraci and Teddy Szyplik.  In addition, Brenden Parsons and Bailey Moore had one goal a piece.  Matt Buckman was the shut out goalie.  This win improves the Jackets' overall record to 7 wins and 8 losses.   The next varsity game is scheduled for Thursday, October 20 at Saegertown at 4:00 p.m.  </p>]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[Jackets Defeat Strong Vincent]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Despite strong winds and rainy conditions, the Yellow Jackets defeated the Strong Vincent Colonels 4 - 0 on Friday night in a make up game at Memorial Field.  Goals were scored by Garrett Brown, Brenden Parsons, Devin Mason and Corey Twichel.   Shut out goalie was Matt Buckman.  </p>]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[Varsity Jackets Fall to Huskies]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<p>The varsity boys lost 6 - 1 to the Huskies on Wednesday evening in Harborcreek.  The Jacket's only goal was scored by Zach Addis on a penalty kick early in the first half.  The next game is scheduled for Friday, October 14.  Girard will face Strong Vincent at Memorial Field at 4:30 p.m.  </p>]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[Girard Wins in Waterford]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[The Yellow Jackets delivered another exciting victory against Ft. LeBoeuf on Monday evening in Waterford.  Girard took the lead early in the game with goals scored by John Martini and Bailey Moore with assists by Ryan Barlow and Adam Olesnanik, respectively.  However, the Bisons scored two goals early on in the second half to tie the game.  The score remained tied right down to the final seconds of the game.  With only a few seconds left on the clock, James Geraci booted in the game winning goal giving Girard the win!  Congratulations boys!  Next game is Wednesday, October 12 in Harborcreek.   ]]></description>

<title><![CDATA[Yellow Jackets Sting Central Tech]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[<font face="Roman"><p>The Girard boys varsity soccer team staged a stunning comeback against Central on Tuesday evening at Memorial Field. Down 2-0 at halftime and 3-0 early in the second half, the Yellow Jackets scored four unanswered goals in the final 25 minutes to complete a 4-3 comeback victory, improving the team to 4-6 on the season. John Martini scored a hat trick and Garrett Brown added another. Brenden Parsons, Ryan Barlow, James Geraci and Marcus Conners each had an assist. The Jackets face General McLane on Thursday, October 6 at 5:30 p.m. at Memorial Field.</p></font>]]></description>
